DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR TOURIST AND BUSINESS VISA 

 

  • Completion of the visa application form
  • Each applicant, including minors, must complete a separate visa application form.
  • Certified copies of the passport from the country of origin
  • Two (2) passport photos in color (write your name on the back of the photos)
  • Invitation letter from the inviter, if invited / Letter of invitation / addresses of business contacts in Namibia for business visa.
  • Deed of surety form signed by the inviter, if invited
  • Proof of a confirmed return ticket
  • * Proof of travel insurance
  • Six (6) months bank statement from the inviter, if invited
  • Current status of the inviter, if invited
  • If through a travel agency Motivation letter from a travel agency or from the applicant 
  • Proof of a confirmed return ticket
  • Proof of accommodation (hotel bookings/resident)
  • Proof of financial statement for 6 months of the applicant
  • If you are a Family (Wife and Children with age less than 17 do not require uploading the Power of Attorney) or Agent which is applying on behalf of the applicant you must upload the Power of Attorney signed by the applicant to apply for a Holiday Visa.
  • Visa fees: N$1200.00 upon approval for African Union Countries and N$1600 for others (https://eservices.mhaiss.gov.na/holidayvisa-services).

 

Payment:

For tourist visas, the visa fee is €90.00 (single entry) and €130.00 (multiple entry) excluding bank charges. For business entry visas, the fee is €125.00. If the visa is not picked up in person, the applicant is required to order a pick-up and pay for the courier fees (DHL, UPS, FedEx, POSTI.Fi). Please note that an additional handling fee of €10.00 per submission is charged together with the visa fee when submitting the application(s).

Please note that ALL bank charges are to be paid by the applicant! Be advised, visa fees are not refundable!

Write your name on the payment order and indicate that payment is for visa. If several people are travelling together, payment can be done on one payment order. The Embassy does not accept cash payments. All payments must be deposited into the aforementioned Embassy's bank account.

It takes up to 7 working days for processing!

Incomplete applications will delay the processing of visas.

Visitors with tourist visa are not allowed to engage in any employment while in the country. If they wish to do so, they should apply for work visa or work permit in their country of residence prior to entering Namibia. The same applies to study visa and study permit.

SINGLE AND MULTIPLE ENTRY VISA

The Maximum of Ninety (90) days per year for both leisure and business visit may be taken once off or in part. The multiple entry visas will be granted on the basis of reasonable ground such as for those applicants who wish to re-enter Namibia for further tourism purpose, or in the case of visit for business purpose (business visa). Such visits should be either for business meetings, seminars, training, conferences and sports events.

DEFINITION OF BUSINESS VISA

The business visa in Namibia is defined as the visa issued to people looking for prospects to set up formal business in Namibia, exploration for business opportunities, business people attending meetings at subsidiaries of their parent companies, official government visits, attending conferences, corporate events (not work) and meetings for which no remuneration is received, attending short training courses (not more than 90 days), sports events, expositions and trade fairs.

People hired and remunerated in their countries but performing work in Namibia

NB: All persons falling under the above exclusions should apply for work and other relevant visas and permits irrespective of whether their countries have a Visa Abolition Agreement with Namibia. The implementation of this measure is from 1st September 2006.

Please note that the application fee for visa is not refundable. Passports sent by registered mail MUST be sent to the Embassy address. Please do not address the letter to any staff member! Instead, address it to the Consular Section.
